RF EMF can heat up organic matter

The evidence that suggests the possibility that exposure RF EMF can cause EHS is not extensive. There are however many studies that demonstrate this connection with RF EMF and oxidative stress. Although it's still unclear what the duration of EMF exposure can cause cellular damage, it is important to be aware of what's going on in the body so that you can avoid this issue. It could even affect organ function.

The effect of heat generated by RF EMF is due to the polarity the substances. When RF energy travels through a polar substance that has atomic nuclei, electrons within the nuclei get displace from their equilibrium position. This causes the electrons surrounding the nuclei are dipoles that are caused by the RF energy. The dipole realignment happens thousands of times per second. During this process there is friction between the rotating molecules and heat is created throughout the material.

While RF radiation isn't thought to directly damage DNA, it could cause heat to accumulate within body tissues, which could lead to burning or damage to tissue. In contrast to ionizing radiation RF radiation is not believed to cause cancer. However, certain studies show higher rates of tumors in lab animals exposed to RF radiation.

There are many federal agencies responsible for controlling and monitoring the impacts from RF radiation on human bodies. These include those of the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. They monitor exposure to RF to ensure that it is safe for employees. They also encourage employees to minimize their exposure to radiation if they are working in high-frequency RF environments.
